Our history

We began this adventure 45 years ago, when our founder, Eng. Rafael Cal y Mayor Reyes Spíndola, decided to undertake an independent consultancy in Mexico to solve the problems associated with traffic and transportation engineering.

Since then, we have experienced constant growth that has allowed us to expand to the rest of the American continent, venture into other sectors and develop integrated services throughout the value chain of an infrastructure project.

Today, we are an institutionalized company, with business management systems and a strategic planning process that have allowed us to maintain a steady course for the growth of the entire organization.

1976

Rafael Cal y Mayor Reyes Spíndola formalizes the business activity of the firm Cal y Mayor y Asociados.

1996

The Cal y Mayor Sur América branch begins operations in Bogotá, Colombia.

2004

C&M Associates starts operations in the United States.

2006

Cal y Mayor ventures into PPP project´s for buildings infrastructure.

2015

Navarro & Cal y Mayor is created, a company specializing in real estate project management.

2018

Cal y Mayor starts operations in the energy market partnering with Artelia.

2022

Incorporation of Omni Design, Inc. to Cal y Mayor Group, the first acquisition executed as part of our growth strategy.

Cal y Mayor Foundation is an organization whose mission is focused on contributing to the reduction of injuries and deaths from road accidents in children, where road accidents are the leading cause of death among boys and girls between 8-14 years old.

Road accidents are of paramount importance worldwide, since 1.35 million people die each year and are the leading cause of death globally among people between 5 and 29 years of age.
